Introduction

This blog is intended to fulfill the requirements for the Information Storage and Retrieval course as part of the MLS degree I am earning from TWU.

As a teacher and aspiring librarian, I am very interested in the way children interact with libraries. In particular, I will be looking at engaging early readers in public libraries. While students must go to their school libraries as part of their academic day, public libraries cannot make such a requirement. They must work that much harder to bring young children into the library.
